Effective and positive end-time ministry requires a commitment to the Biblical principles set forth by early Christians. It also necessitates a radical commitment to surpass the status quo. In order to assist the Body of Christ with these modern day challenges, The Network of Local Churches, Inc. was birthed in the spirit of its Founder, La Fayette Scales in 1999 and formally organized in August 2001.

We also desire to train, equip and encourage the edifying of the Body of Christ. The Network of Local Churches, Inc. is not a “denomination,” nor does it legally bind its members. We do not seek to be an instrument of ecclesiatical restraint in the sense of diminishing the member church or the ministries unique existence, but rather to augment, affirm and enhance the member’s individual calling and vision.

The Network of Local Churches, Inc. is a fellowship of non-denominational churches with a main objective of providing covenant relationship for Pastors, Five-Fold Ministers and churches. We also desire to train, equip and encourage the edifying of the Body of Christ.

La Fayette Scales is a native of Columbus, Ohio where he grew up in the home of Christian parents. He received the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior at the age of twenty-one and was licensed to preach the Gospel in 1973.

In 1982 he was commissioned Pastor of Rhema Christian Center having began that work with seven members. The Church has grown profoundlyt and is making an impact in the northeast Columbus, Ohio. The church has assisted in establishing six (6) local congregations and developed Dayspring Christian Community Development Corporation providing affordable housing and economic opportunity for low-income families.

La Fayette has ministered to men across the United States and throughout the world. He is also a charter member of the Fellowship of International Christian Word of Faith Ministries (FICWFM)

Through the Network of Local Churches, La Fayette is recognized and set in the Church as an Apostle and fuctions in that capacity to many leaders, churches and ministries locally, nationally and internationally. La Fayette has minstered throughout the United States, Israel, Zimbabwe, Russia, South Africa, Australia, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Singapore and throughout the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Dominican Republic.

He has authored two books: “What is the Church Coming To?” and “It’s The Walk Not The Talk”. As well as numerous manuals, articles and papers to strengthen the church and train leaders. In May, 2003 Pastor Scales received and Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Beulah Heights Bible College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Bishop Scales is always ready to impart to leaders and congregations the wisdom, insight, and revelation which God has given to him.

La Fayette resides in Columbus, Ohio with his wife, Theresa and their children, Jonathan & Nataria Scales and their two children Marques and Mia, Marshall & Yolanda Ziglar, and Christopher.
